Video chats, conferences and meetings are a more popular form of communication than ever before. It Sticks Straight to Your Laptop

Attaching this light to your laptop, tablet or monitor really isn’t that complicated. The suction mount included is similar to what you’d find on a sat-nav or dash-cam device, with a fold over clasp that helps you secure it in place. This mount also tilts so you can adjust the direction of your Lume Cube light for added flexibility. To avoid it falling off, be sure that whatever surface you’re attaching it to is free of dust and dirt, and that no suction cup is hanging over the edges.

It Has Adjustable Brightness and Color Temperature

Some web cams have an on or off light function, which isn’t very versatile when it comes to trying to achieve nuanced lighting. This Lume Cube light, however, allows you to adjust both color temperature and brightness, to help you match ambient lighting and skin tone. The color temperature scale offered by the Lume Cube light ranges from 3200 kelvin - similar to a tungsten bulb - to 5600 kelvin - which is akin to natural daylight. Brightness and color temperature settings can be easily viewed on an LCD screen on the device, too.

It Even Comes With a Diffuser

Speaking of nuanced lighting, the included diffuser with the Lume Cube light can really help put the final touches on your lighting set-up. Alongside the light’s brightness settings, the diffuser cover can help soften the intensity of light and more evenly disperse it, giving a more natural, balanced feel. The included diffuser is made of silicone too, so it’s highly durable and can be taken on and off in a matter of seconds.

It's Rechargeable

This next point is kind of a big deal. If you’re working from a coffee shop, or perhaps you just want to move around your home or office when on a video chat, the rechargeable battery of the Lume Cube light will allow you to do so. The light doesn’t need to be constantly connected to a power source, and it offers an impressive 14 hours of battery life. However, if you’re planning on settling in for a long video session - perhaps some back-to-back interviews - then you can charge it and use it at the same time, via your computer or laptop’s USB port.

Lume Cube Sells a Separate Light Stand

Everyone’s office set-up is unique, and if you don’t have a device that can accommodate the suction cup of the Lume Cube, then it’s worth noting that the company makes a separate light stand. This compact, telescopic stand works like a regular camera or light tripod, with the Lume Cbbe video conference light simply screwing to the top of it. This stand can then be easily moved around your desk, dining room table or office space, giving you mount-free lighting, and arguably a better chance of achieving a more distinct lighting set-up. So, are you going to buy the Lume Cube video conference light? If so, are you going to use it in your local coffee shop? Stay tuned to GetMojo for the most complete video product reviews!
